All that money for Craig counsell! Milwaukee is enjoying this! 😂
Dear Craig Counsel: The fact that Suzuki still has a job after dropping that ball in Atlanta last year is mind boggling to me (trade him). Don’t ever bring Smyly in to close a game in the 9th. Please pinch hit for Amaya in the 8th & 9th, especially with RISP (use Bote). Do that and you might actually win a game.
Good luck with that superstar Council guy
What i want to know is when we are 0-4 will they give Bagent a chance? And how silent will the CW fanclub get when it happens?🤣
I guess I dont get that they could buy the division when they spent 107 mil more than milwaukee and 50 mil more than the cards
8:35 Thank you for keeping that alive, Dan! 😂🤣😭
Fire Jed Hoyer.
They have none!!
So embarrassing tom ricketts spending money on the wrong players
Great job with those men he raised. Yall take notes on how to be a father. Represent ya kids and theyll Represent you. The respectful honorable way
Dan has a technocratic view that the "smart" people will eventually suceed in management. Because he sees some of himself in jed he refuses to critique him. Its "the cubs plan" not jeds plan.
9-8 with Caleb.....13-4 with Tyson
A bycracky drop!!!
Even as a brewers fan, Bernstein and Holmes are still the best analysis you can get. Enjoy these guys while we can.
Tried the Marquee Network. They were in 1st place or at least close. About a month later, the bottom fell out. It's not worth the $20/month to watch this struggling team.
Can't even count on getting Vlad Jr since he's been openly telling the Yankees to make an offer and take him aboard
Cubs have a very good farm system….if we receive offers for some of the underperforming guys this year….sell them. We have way too many holes to be serious contenders. BP is possibly the worst in the majors.
They need to change this plan , it’s not WORKING. Ricketts if you want to sell us the Marquee network, go to games put on a damn strong contender team. They are wasting quality time of Belli , Shota , Steele , Seiya . They have some pieces of the puzzle. And what makes anyone think next season that the Cubs will draw high profile FAs . This is a very frustrating season 😡
Counsell=uninspiring.
The team as a whole doesn't hit well and their approach in most clutch situations is terrible. There has been a lot of guessing at the plate, even in hitter's counts, which has resulted more times than not in terrible end results. If the batter is ahead 3-0 or 3-1, you should be locked onto anything of velocity in the zone, not be surprised by a fastball right down the middle. If there is a runner at third with less than 2 outs, contact should be the priority, not pulling the ball out of the park. If a pitcher has just thrown 8 straight bad ones and walked the previous 2 hitters, the next batter shouldn't be swinging at the first pitch, make him throw you a strike. All of that, plus the bullpen being like a colander trying to hold water has been the big problem.
Metallica lost album. Trade Em All.
Ripping the boundaries Lunacy has found me Cannot stop the cubbie-ing!
'Soft tossing nibblers' sounds like a British insult.
I really appreciate how Lawrence is trying to explain his disdain for the cubs method of operation and somebody said but records sound better. I thought Lawrence was going to have to cut a mfer.
Just ask him about the White Sox or bears stadium plans. That's when he'll get pissed
Hoyer needs to be fired immediately if not sooner!! The manager is a potted plant. No passion! Your team sucks and he shows no emotion. Get mad!! Loyal Cubs fans played again!!
Front offices love to prove they are smarter than the others by doing something different than the obvious thing 3 thumpers 3 SPs that can go 7+ IP 3-4 hammers in the pen that demoralize an opponent from thinking they can come back
The Cubs payroll is 116m higher than the Brewers this season. Jed has just spent poorly and our minor leagues have not provided much the past few seasons
Love able losers are back. Another 100 years
It’s all due to the Ricketts, they’re not about putting the best product on the field, they want to line their pockets. They aren’t the type to take those risks. They won’t go for tier 1 talent cause it costs to much. I hated that they bought the team because I knew this was coming. Put it on the ricketts, it’s the absolute answer.
Sound like some hating
The Cubs should have traded for Alonso in the off-season, signed Ryne Stanek and Neris or David Robertson and traded for a guy like Reed Garrett who strikes a million people out, and signed JD Martinez. They gave big deals to 4th outfielder Happ, the 4th best shortstop on the market as the 4th best SS in the game, which he is not, and then stuck with Hendricks way too long relying on soft tossing guys
This team has become a laughing stock
As opposed to a crying bond
We the fans do not matter to the owners as long as people come a d watch a sold out game all the time.
Why no one gets fired or no trades is crazy to me. Fans need to stay home and let the team miss some dollars. Then and Then only will a change takes place.
Ross got more out of his guys and kept morale high. The team played exciting baseball by running, taking extra bases and putting pressure on defenses. Counsell is a cancer. He sits chewing seeds like a cross between a cow chewing its cud and a cigar store Indian. He has no fire or ability to motivate a team. The bullpen and lack of free agents is on Jed, as is thinking Counsell is a good manager. He is a station to station guy with no leadership skills who sits back waiting for homers to come when the team was built to run and keeps bringing guys out of the pen on a daily basis who can’t find the strike zone with a map and radar and expecting something to be different. Jed wanted a yes man and now we are stuck with the SOB for five years. I would rather go to the park down the street and watch five year olds play T ball than watching this, boring, lifeless, and leaderless disaster.
Who b carin? Wirlin verlin breakdancer froms Crestwood IL do. He b doin dat cubbies slides down dances. Dis b he breakdancein partner Staleypaul. #2 Kiss 🍼🧃🕺🌪️😂🤣
Is this West side pimp??
@@aarronvanburen8612 der b nutin hips buots dos cubbies 🛸
For the sake of ben browns career hopefully he gets traded. This team will destroy his arm
I disagree. The Cubs were a balanced team last year where anybody who went down could be replaced with pure organizational depth. The bullpen was scruffy last year, so they addressed that with Almonte and Neris. The issue is injuries and <clears throat> an overrated manager. The Brewers got way better, the Cubs got way worse. Both teams have almost identical rosters as they did last year. I was worried that Hoyer and Hawkins would take the blame. This is that Chicago sports fan syndrome. Dunning-Kruger effect. Everyone on the Cubs is worse than they were last year. It’s on Craig Counsell. 100%
Owner is a joke. No closer. No bashers. No way David ross could have been this bad. Wasted money on counsel. And brewers are in first. Brutal.
Was just gonna say the fact Milwaukee is in first is a big indictment on Counsell
It's a lifeless team with no heart or passion. They are just collecting a paycheck.
Hoyer is the cancer of the team.. until he gets booted, this is what we will get for years to come.
Facts
Kept Jed after Theo left before he got fired I hate the Cubs man. F Theo. F Jed.
Holmes summing it up perfectly as usual. This team has the resources to behave like a big money major market team, because that's exactly what they are. Why are they LARPing as something else? Reminds me of that scene in Swingers: "You're like a big bear with claws, with fangs...you got these claws and you're staring at these claws and you're thinking to yourself, 'How am I supposed to kill this bunny?'"
They thought Counsell would add 10 wins
Whilst totally ignoring that the roster was overachieving in a way that any statistician would say was unsustainable. And the way the wheels fell off late last season should have made that clear to them.
Counsell is a terrible manager
They don't want to win.
Watching the Brew crew smoke the cubs year after year makes my wisconsin heart happy
Go away
@@mizer9510 are you going to pay me to go away. Yall trying to buy a winning team and can’t even do that 😃🥸
Go brew crew
Counsel tends to over manage IMHO.
I feel like you always have to grab the next best player in the draft regardless of what you NEED in this current moment. There seems to be consensus that the next best players are all defenseman. Why take a gamble on a forward that may or may not pan out when you know you can get a good defenseman right now?
The Cubs are atrocious 😫
Loveable Losers Forever
The cubs needed bullpen and the corners infielder at the end of the last season. Low energy jed didn't fix it. Failure should have consequences, fire Jed!
